Wild Amazon – Macaw Clay Lick Chuncho 3 Days

In the area you can see a great diversity of tree species, ferns, herbs, mosses and scrub plants. One of the most abundant species is the orchid, of which 200 species have been recorded.

The range in size of some orchid plants is so wide that it goes from less than one centimeter, including flowers, to more than seven meters in height. Some orchids have squat and tiny shapes; others, type liana, can reach more than thirty meters in length.

Amazon Day 01: Puerto Maldonado – Tambopata Lodge Inn.

Pick up from the airport or land terminal with their names. Then transfer to our office to register and leave your luggage, take what you need to the hostel.
We will take our private mobility for 2 hours .30 minutes to the port of tambopata Then we will embark on our outboard boat for 50 minutes upriver until we reach our Lodge «TAMBOPATA LODGE INN»
During the trip we will observe many birds on the riverbank, capybaras, white alligators, turtles, monkeys. Arriving at our Lodge we will have a welcome with a typical jungle drink. later they will settle in their respective private rooms and their lunches.
. After a delicious lunch, a short break to continue with the walk inside this natural reserve. Where our guide will explain about the primary forest ancient trees, giant trees and medicinal plants and the collection of chestnuts. Observing some species that inhabit and are developed in this natural area.
After dinner we will go in our outboard boat in search of alligators, birds, and some mammals and other species.
Return to our lodge to rest in their respective rooms.

Amazon Day 02: Macaw Clay Lick Chuncho – Exploring Flora / Fauna.

We will get up very early to enjoy a coffee after a delicious coffee, we will embark on our outboard boat up the river approximately 1 hour 20 minutes with a spectacular landscape with a possibility of seeing a jaguar, anaconda, tapir on the shores and beaches from the Tambopata river. .
Arriving we will settle in a hiding place to see the show of parrots, macaws, parakeets, birds and some mammals. We will learn from these birds, and many other mammals come because they need this wall clay in their daily diet throughout the year.
It is a wonderful show for 4 hours there we will enjoy a delicious breakfast will be observing these creatures in the Chuncho Collpa.
After this activity we will return to our lodge to enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon we will explore the wild flora on plants because it is so important in our jungle, such as cat’s claw, cinchona for malaria, ajosquiro which is a natural repellent, Ayahuasca which is known as the master plant and the chacruna All this information will be obtained from our local guide, it will be a very beautiful and informative walk.
Then we will have free time to relax as each one takes his bathing suit or bikini, shorts to take a refreshing bath in the Tambopata river that is in the middle of the jungle that deserves to enjoy a radiant sun.
After dinner we will take our flashlights to go on a night walk in search of insects, arachnids, tarantulas, snakes, armadillos, night monkeys, some mammals such as tapirs, capybaras.
Rest in their respective private rooms.

Day 03: Tambopata Lodge Inn – Mammal Clay Lick – Puerto Maldonado – Airport.

After breakfast, we will go to the mammal clay lick where you will be able to appreciate different species of animals (tapir, capybara, wild pigs, other sloths…) feeding on salts and minerals with digestive properties in this place.
Explanation of different techniques and forms of hunting at the hands of our local guide, on the way back to the lodge you will observe birds, butterflies, monkeys (spiders, friars, capuchins, the howler  )

Return to the lodge for lunch.
After a break we will pack our things to embark back to the city of Puerto Maldonado and transfer to the airport or bus terminal.
